Botox

Since it’s FDA approval in 2002, over a million people have been treated with BOTOX®. BOTOX® is a great way to soften the appearance of dynamic wrinkles, such frown lines, laugh lines, worry lines and crow’s feet. This procedure is fast, easy and has no down time.

How does Botox® work?

The lines that appear on our faces are caused by the many expressions we make each day and by exposure to the elements over a period of time. There are tiny facial muscles that are related to the expression lines. Botox® blocks the nerve impulses, which reduces movement of the facial muscles. When these muscles are relaxed, the skin gradually smooths out and remains unwrinkled while the treated facial muscles work as usual without affecting normal facial expression.

What will the treatment involve?

Botox® is a quick, easy treatment. It is minimally invasive and has no down time. The procedure is done by making tiny injections using a small amount of Botox® into several locations on the face. The discomfort associated with the injections is minimal because the needle is so fine, therefore no local anesthesia is required. This simple, safe procedure allows you to resume normal activities immediately. You can even have it done on your lunch hour.

How soon will I see results and how long will it last?

Within days after having your treatment, you can expect to see results. Some deeper lines may take up to a week. The results of the treatment last up to four months, however results may vary.

Now with Lidocaine!

With time, exposure to the sun and other elements, skin components break down. The skin loses structure and volume. Unwelcome lines and wrinkles appear. Healthcare professionals now can correct wrinkles and facial folds, reversing the signs of aging.

How are wrinkles corrected?
The appearance of wrinkles and facial folds can be smoothed by adding structure and volume underneath and bringing sunken skin back up to the surface. Generally, this is done by injecting materials into the skin, to achieve a temporary effect. When administered by a trained healthcare professional, you can be sure that the materials have been proven safe to use.
What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural complex sugar found in all living cells, and one of the major components of the dermis connective tissue matrix, along with collagen and elastin.
